Individualized small group life skills instruction, led by a certified special education teacher and supported by a team of instructional assistants.

Opportunities for socialization and recreation with student mentors from various departments at the University of Connecticut.

Exposure to a variety of vocational work sites both on a campus and in the community, through a semester rotation process based on employee interests and abilities.  Our goal is to achieve employment independence through supportive job coaching. 

The facilitation of appropriate social and pragmatic language skills by all staff throughout the day.

Participation in a variety of community service projects.

A collaborative approach to developing daily living skills, involving parents/guardians/families.

Participation in the Best Buddies International College Program.

Opportunities for students and parents to network with each other, as well as with DDS and BRS representatives.
